2.91.030 Membership of Commission.
A. The Commission shall be comprised of Commissioners appointed by the Board of Supervisors of each member county. Commission representation shall be based on the number of Medi-Cal beneficiaries enrolled in the HealthPlan in each county as follows: one Commissioner per zero to 45,000 beneficiaries; two Commissioners per 45,000 to 60,000 beneficiaries; and three Commissioners per more than 60,000 beneficiaries.
B. The Commission members appointed by the Sierra County Board of Supervisors shall serve at the pleasure of the Board and shall be selected as follows:
1. Representation on behalf of Sierra County for Partnership HealthPlan Commission shall be as follows:
a. Individuals appointed to the Partnership Board may include the following:
i. Employees of the County within Health and Social Services and Behavioral Health;
ii. Local healthcare and medical providers who provide services to Medi-Cal beneficiaries;
iii. Medi-Cal beneficiaries;
iv. Family members of Medi-Cal beneficiaries.
Individuals may be appointed to the Partnership HealthPlan Commission by the Sierra County Board of Supervisors, with recommendations from the Sierra County Director of Health and Social Services and/or the Director of Behavioral Health.
Vacancies in the term of any member shall be filled by appointment by the Board of Supervisors in the same manner as all other County Commissions and Committees appointed by the Board of Supervisors. (Ord. 1126 § 1, eff. 12/21/23; Ord. 1103 § 1, eff. 10/21/21)
