An approval or conditional approval shall expire six months from the date of approval of the parcel merger application, unless a request for an extension has been filed. Upon written request by the surveyor or engineer filing the record of survey map, an extension of up to an additional 90 days may be granted by the Planning Director if he determines that unavoidable delay has prevented the timely submittal of the parcel merger map or other documents necessary to effect the parcel merger.
