Sierra County accepts the ordinance of Yuba County, California which grants to Sierra County the authority provided in the Cal. Sts. & High. Code §§ 972 through 977 for the following highway:

That portion of the Alleghany Road and Ridge Road, generally described as follows: Beginning at the point on the Sierra-Yuba County boundary, said point being the true point of beginning of that portion of Ridge Road covered by the provisions of this chapter, said point being in the Northeast quarter of Section 24, Township 18 North, Range 8 East, M.D.B.&M.; thence, westerly through the north half of said Section 24; thence in a southwesterly direction to the west line of the Southwest quarter of Section 23; thence, westerly through the Southeast quarter of Section 22 to the intersection of Ridge Road and Celestial Valley Road, for a total length of 3.70 miles.
